1 Who we are #
Campus 360 runs campus360recreations.com and is responsible for your personal data under Uganda’s Data Protection and Privacy Act, 2019. For any privacy question or request, contact us through the contact page and choose the topic “Privacy or data request”.
2 What we collect #
- Account: your name, email address, optional phone number, your password (stored only in a scrambled, secure form) and the version of our terms you accepted.
- Sign in with Google: your name, email address, profile photo and Google account ID. We never see your Google password.
- Profile and settings: your university, academic level, year of study, profile photo, and preferences such as playback quality, language and theme.
- Activity: what you watch, listen to and read (including where you stopped), saves, likes, follows, comments and notifications.
- Orders: items, delivery name, phone number and area, and payment status and reference.
- Things you send us: 360 Discover projects, contact form messages, Work With Us enquiries, fund requests and newsletter sign-ups.
- Technical data: IP address, browser and device type, pages visited and error reports, used to keep the site working and secure.
3 How we use your data #
- To run your account and the features you use, such as resuming a video where you left off. This is needed to provide the service you asked for.
- To process orders, payments and deliveries, and to email you about them.
- To send the newsletter and new-content emails you chose to receive. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- To keep Campus 360 safe: moderating content, preventing fraud and abuse, and fixing errors. This is in our legitimate interest and sometimes required by law.
- To understand how Campus 360 is used, through counts grouped by content, university, academic level and region. Groups smaller than 5 people are never shown.
- To review fund requests you choose to submit, based on your consent.
We do not use your data for advertising and we do not sell it.
4 Fund requests #
Fund requests can include information about your circumstances. We ask only for what we need to consider a request. We do not ask for identity documents, bank details or mobile money PINs. Only Campus 360 administrators can see fund requests, every view is logged, and the information is never used for marketing.
5 What other people can see #
Your display name, comments and published 360 Discover projects are public. Your email address, phone number, the contact details on a submission, your orders and your fund requests are never shown publicly.
8 Data stored outside Uganda #
Some of our service providers store data outside Uganda, for example in the European Union or the United States. When that happens we use providers that protect your data to standards at least as strong as those required by Ugandan law.
9 How long we keep data #
- Your account: until you ask us to close it. We then delete your personal data within 30 days, and it disappears from backups within a further 90 days.
- Orders and payment records: 5 years, because tax law requires it.
- Fund requests: 2 years after a decision is made.
- Contact messages and enquiries: 2 years.
- Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
- Visit records: 13 months. Statistics that can no longer identify anyone may be kept longer.
10 Your rights #
Under the Data Protection and Privacy Act, 2019 you can ask us to:
- give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- correct anything that is wrong or incomplete
- delete your data or close your account
- stop or limit how we use your data, including for marketing
- withdraw consent you gave earlier, such as for the newsletter
To make a request, use the contact page and choose “Privacy or data request”. We may need to confirm your identity first, and we reply within 30 days. If you are not happy with our answer, you can complain to Uganda’s Personal Data Protection Office.
11 Children #
Campus 360 is made for university students. You must be 18 or older to create an account, or 16 or 17 with the permission of a parent or guardian. If we learn that a younger child has created an account, we will delete it.
12 Keeping your data safe #
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS) everywhere, store passwords only in a secure scrambled form, limit access to personal data by role, keep logs of access to sensitive records and store original uploads privately. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach puts your data at risk, we will tell you and the Personal Data Protection Office as the law requires.
13 Changes to this policy #
When we update this policy we publish a new version on this page with the date it takes effect, and earlier versions stay available. For important changes we will also tell you by email or on the site.
