People Will Celebrate Your Results, Not Your Effort
Society celebrates the graduate, not the sleepless nights. The successful entrepreneur, not the failed attempts and the winner, not the person who almost gave up.
The world sees results, but rarely the struggle behind them. As a university student or fresh graduate, you may work hard, sacrifice your comfort and give your best, yet still have little to show for it. Meanwhile, someone else is announcing their achievements online. It is easy to feel left behind. But remember, success makes the journey look easier than it was. Unfortunately, effort alone is not enough. Hard work must be accompanied by strategy, learning and the willingness to change what is not working. If you fail, do not simply try harder… reflect, learn and try differently. Learn to celebrate yourself before the applause arrives. Your current results show where you are, not everything you are capable of becoming. Maybe it’s not about scoring the 80% maybe it’s just steady progress from 60% to 68%. Definitely many will not see it but you the student will notice it and feel it. Finally we have a cardinal role of being each other’s keepers. Therefore as you chase your own success, kindly remember to appreciate others. Behind that quiet smile, there may be a struggle you know nothing about. People may celebrate you for your results because it’s what they see, but you must learn from your effort. Keep working, keep learning, and keep growing. The applause may come later, but the growth begins now. And again, join me in loving beyond words and caring beyond convenience.
